More than 100 pairs of eyeglasses were distributed to residents in neighborhoods across the capital city as part of a recent health initiative. The Ministry of Health of Jujuy organized ophthalmological evaluations for about 250 people, resulting in the delivery of 105 pairs of glasses to 88 patients based on medical recommendations.
The distribution event was led by Javier Cadar, Secretary of General Coordination, together with Sandra Quintos, Provincial Director of Primary Health Care (APS), and the health team from CAPS La Viña. This effort is part of ongoing work to provide healthcare services directly within communities.
According to officials, this strategy enabled early detection of vision problems among children, young people, and adults. Some cases were related to chronic illnesses such as diabetes. Timely intervention through these operations has contributed to improving quality of life and ensuring equitable access to visual health care throughout the province.
