The Ministry of Health of Jujuy announced on March 19 the launch of “Sani,” a virtual assistant now available on its official website. The tool is designed to help the public access information and services within the province’s public health system.
The introduction of Sani aims to make it easier for residents to find resources, make inquiries, and manage health-related tasks online. According to the ministry, Sani offers step-by-step guidance through a conversational interface for various needs, including booking appointments at hospitals via WhatsApp, accessing virtual consultations, locating CEPAT and USMA centers, contacting mental health and disability networks, and entering the Medical Imaging Portal.
Developed by the ministry’s Information Technology Unit, Sani is part of ongoing efforts under the Strategic Health Plan II to strengthen technology use with a social focus. The ministry said this initiative seeks to expand accessibility and bring public health services closer to each person. “The implementation of digital tools like Sani is integrated into advances in digitization promoted by the Government of Jujuy, making access to information easier, speeding up procedures, and consolidating a model of health that is closer, more efficient, and inclusive,” according to the announcement.
Looking ahead, officials plan further development for Sani that will add patient follow-up features. This next phase will prioritize current epidemiological conditions and reinforce strategies for care, prevention, and continuous support throughout Jujuy.
To use Sani, users should visit https://salud.jujuy.gob.ar/, click on the white-and-orange chat icon at the bottom right corner of the page, then follow prompts provided by the assistant. Users are advised to have a stable internet connection and personal patient data ready when making requests.
