The Ministry of Education of Jujuy has initiated the bidding process for major renovations at two technical schools in the province. The announcement comes ahead of Argentina’s Technical Education Day and involves public international tenders for upgrades at Escuela de Educación TĆ©cnica N°1 āGral. Manuel Belgranoā in MaimarĆ” and Escuela de Educación TĆ©cnica N°1 āGral. Savioā in PalpalĆ”.
On November 13, the ministry held two separate bid opening ceremonies at its main complex. These events were led by MatĆas Torcivia, Secretary of Infrastructure, alongside Eugenia MartĆnez Alvarado, Secretary of Strategic Programs and Projects; Mariana BrandĆ”n, General Director from CAF; JosĆ© Palomares, Deputy Director of Works; members of the State Attorneyās legal team; school directors; and representatives from bidding companies.
At 10 a.m., officials opened bids for International Public Tender No. 3/2025 to carry out comprehensive refurbishment at the MaimarĆ” technical school. Later that morning, at 11:30 a.m., they opened bids for International Public Tender No. 4/2025 regarding similar work at the PalpalĆ” institution.
During both proceedings, Torcivia emphasized the significance of these projects: āEste tipo de inversiones no solo renuevan los edificios, tambiĆ©n potencian la formación de cientos de jóvenes jujeƱos. En la previa del DĆa de la Educación TĆ©cnica, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con instituciones que forman perfiles profesionales claves para el desarrollo productivo de la provincia.ā (Translation: “These types of investments not only renew buildings but also enhance the training of hundreds of young people from Jujuy. The tender processes proceeded as planned and will continue according to established regulations.
