The upcoming extended weekend in Jujuy will offer four days for residents and visitors to explore the province’s diverse tourist attractions. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has organized a schedule of activities across different regions, aiming to showcase the variety of experiences available during the holiday.
In the Quebrada de Humahuaca, visitors can expect a combination of notable landscapes, traditional villages, and regional cuisine. Activities include hiking, artisan fairs, museums, and rides on the Quebrada Solar Train. The region also features the Altitude Wine Route with wineries open to the public.
The Valles area will host folk festivals, music events known as peñas, theater performances, and gastronomic offerings that blend Andean and colonial flavors. The temperate valleys’ wine route and agrotourism experiences provide insights into local agricultural production from both cultural and rural perspectives.
In the Yungas region, mountain forests present interpretive trails, natural viewpoints, and rich biodiversity for birdwatching. Options such as trekking, horseback riding, rappelling, and community-based tourism are available for those interested in adventure and nature.
The Puna offers immersion in highland life through community-based rural tourism. Visitors can see salt flats, high-Andean lagoons, unique geological formations as well as participate in traditional activities like llama herding, textile crafts, and astronomical tourism.
Throughout the long weekend municipalities will organize fairs, food events, and cultural activities that support local economies while providing more options for travelers.
The province provides an extensive network of authorized accommodations and tourist services to welcome guests. Additional information about tourism opportunities in Jujuy is available at https://www.turismo.jujuy.gob.ar/.
