Three new organ donation procedures were recently carried out at San Roque and Pablo Soria hospitals in the provincial capital, according to the Ministry of Health of Jujuy. The ministry attributes these operations to increased community awareness about the importance of organ donation and ongoing efforts by interdisciplinary medical teams.
Since the beginning of 2026, there have been a total of 17 organ and tissue donation procedures in Jujuy. These donations are intended for people of all ages who are facing serious health conditions and need transplants for recovery.
The implementation of the Justina Law in 2018, along with specific health policies in Jujuy, has helped the province maintain strong performance in organ donation at a regional level.
