The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Jujuy resumed its participation in the Council of Prosecutors and Attorneys General of Argentina, according to an April 2 announcement. The meeting took place in Buenos Aires and focused on restoring funding for forensic research and joining the federal agenda against complex crime.
Officials said that Deputy Attorney General Diego Eduardo Chacón represented the province at the meeting, formalizing Jujuy’s return to this collaborative forum. The main goal is to end institutional isolation so that the office can access new investigative techniques and applied technological tools needed for solving criminal cases.
One of the key outcomes was confirmation that addenda for financing forensic research laboratories will be reactivated. Local prosecutors say these resources are essential for more precise scientific analysis and faster judicial processes in Jujuy.
The gathering also set a federal training agenda covering issues such as drug-related crime, gender-based violence, and environmental law. With this move, Alejandro Bosatti’s administration aims to further professionalize investigators as they face judicial challenges during 2026.
