The Secretariat of Culture of Jujuy has announced the opening of an art exhibition titled “Landscapes from the Collection of the Artistic Heritage of the Province of Jujuy.” The event will take place on Tuesday, February 3 at 11 a.m. at Casa Silvetti – Espacio de Arte, located at Canónigo Gorriti 295.
The exhibition features works that are part of the province’s artistic heritage and offers visitors a look at different ways artists have represented the landscapes of Jujuy over time. According to organizers, these pieces are more than depictions of natural surroundings; they represent a cultural legacy that reflects diverse perspectives on the territory and its meaning.
The show brings together various techniques and styles, including painting, drawing, photography, and contemporary expressions. It includes both panoramic views and fragmented interpretations. Some artworks were created by artists during their visits to Jujuy and now form part of the provincial collection.
Organizers describe this selection as a shared visual memory that preserves historical, cultural, and symbolic values. They state that it allows for recognition of how a visual identity connected to landscape has been built over time. The exhibition aims to reaffirm this heritage as “living,” open to community engagement and transmission to new generations under the care of the Secretariat of Culture.
Works by several artists are included in the exhibit: Aldo Ruiz, José Armanini, Laureano Rodríguez Pérez, Pillie, Dante Cipulli, Lucio Acosta Cerra, Ignacio Colombres, Juan Carlos Entrocassi, Manuel González, Víctor Montoya, Edmundo González Del Real, Constantino Popoff, José Mario Cecconi, Rafael Touriño Campos, Claudio Samos, Héctor Alemán, Alberto Mosca, Oscar Alberto Zerpa, Elisa Barrientos and Alejandro López.
The exhibition will be open for public viewing from February 3 through March 27.
