Miriam Serrano, Minister of Education of Jujuy, took part in the National Meeting of Unique Generation Public-Private Partnerships. The event was organized by UNICEF and focused on the challenges facing education during digital transformation. It was held on December 2 at the Salón Blanco of Palacio Sarmiento in Buenos Aires.
The meeting brought together national authorities, UNICEF officials, educational leaders from various jurisdictions, technical teams, and education specialists. During a panel discussion with other ministers and representatives from multilateral financing organizations and UNICEF, Serrano shared insights from Jujuy’s experience in developing strategies to strengthen pedagogical innovation, improve access to technological resources, and support students and teachers as they adapt to new educational challenges.
Throughout the day, participants reviewed progress made at the provincial level and discussed actions aimed at promoting learning opportunities for adolescents and young people. These efforts involve cooperation between public and private sectors. The exchange enabled participants to share assessments and approaches that could inform the development of education policies tailored to evolving social and labor demands.
The meeting concluded with a presentation outlining next year’s work plans. This reaffirmed the commitment of provinces and participating organizations to these initiatives.
Serrano’s attendance signaled Jujuy’s engagement in federal forums where priorities and strategies for Argentina’s national education system are determined.
Other attendees included Carlos Torrendell, Secretary of Education; José Thomas, Secretary of the Federal Education Council; Rafael Ramírez Mesec, UNICEF Argentina representative; and Roberto Benes, Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at UNICEF.
