The Ministry of Education in Jujuy has completed a training program called “Cuidando las Primeras Infancias” for both teaching and non-teaching staff working in early childhood centers. The sessions, held before the start of the 2026 school year, were organized by the Directorate of Early Childhood Education in coordination with the Healthy Environments Coordination and the Maternity and Childhood team from the Ministry of Health.
The program aimed to equip participants with skills for prevention and first aid response, including CPR, burn care, and airway obstruction management. It also focused on reinforcing safety protocols within educational institutions. A nutritionist from Healthy Environments discussed topics such as healthy eating, breastfeeding, and milk handling in early childhood settings.
According to organizers, “This initiative began in 2025 with seven sessions aimed at state-managed early childhood centers. It had a highly satisfactory turnout and became a valuable space for preparing staff to address emergencies and urgent situations within schools.”
This year, the program expanded to include private and social sector early childhood centers as well as additional non-teaching staff who gathered at various schools. The current phase has now concluded, reaffirming what organizers described as their commitment to comprehensive care and protection during early childhood.
In total, 975 teachers and non-teaching staff have received training through this initiative.
