The Ministry of Education of Jujuy has reported progress in strengthening the connection between education and employment throughout 2025. The government emphasized efforts to build links between educational institutions and the productive sector, aiming to improve job training and update technical programs across the province.
According to official data, 73 training courses were offered, involving over 11,500 participants. These resulted in 4,540 certifications at different levels and modalities. The programs included job skills training, initial and ongoing professional development, and new curricular designs that integrate practical experience, technological innovation, and sustainable production.
One notable achievement is the introduction of 34 new curricular designs in areas such as Energy, Metalworking, Construction, Woodwork, Aesthetics, Food Industry, and New Technologies. Enrollment increased by 15% compared to last year, showing a rising interest in vocational education.
The ministry also provided equipment and supplies to schools to strengthen learning environments. Resources such as industrial kitchens, machinery, laboratory kits, and notebooks were distributed to support student safety and hands-on learning.
Technical and agricultural secondary education now accounts for 12% of provincial enrollment with 29 institutions throughout Jujuy. While most specialties are focused on agriculture, there are efforts underway to diversify into fields related to industry, mining, and construction—sectors seen as important for local economic development.
More than 1,800 students took part in internships and technology projects designed to support early entry into the workforce. These experiences were coordinated with companies like Ledesma S.A., the Chamber of Construction, UNJu (National University of Jujuy), the Ministry of Production among others.
Strategic partnerships have expanded through eight new agreements with private companies as well as university and government entities. Participation also increased in school-business roundtables aimed at further connecting education with industry needs.
Jujuy’s technical schools received national recognition this year by winning four awards at the National Technical Professional Education Olympiad in Electronics, Electromechanics, Construction, and Agriculture categories. They also joined initiatives such as Eco YPF Challenge, the Hygiene & Safety Fair, and the National Congress for Agricultural Professionals.
“These actions consolidate a management model that articulates education, labor, and production, promoting quality job training with territorial equityand social inclusion,” stated officials from the Ministry of Education.
