The Ministry of Education of Jujuy, through its Permanent Education for Youth and Adults program (MEPJA), organized a series of activities during the Month of Inclusion. The initiative aimed to promote equity, respect, and care for diversity within the educational system.
According to the Ministry, these actions were designed to highlight MEPJA’s efforts in creating learning spaces that encourage empathy and recognize diversity as a collective asset. The goal was also to raise awareness about the rights of people with disabilities and move toward an education system that removes barriers and ensures inclusion.
Throughout October, Primary Completion Educational Centers across all seven educational regions held workshops, walks, talks, and community interventions. These activities resulted in posters and murals placed in public spaces. The projects were developed by special education teachers with support from grade-level and subject teachers.
Teamwork was emphasized as a key component of each activity, fostering collaboration between teachers and students. This approach created opportunities for dialogue and reflection on topics such as inclusion, accessibility, and respect for differences.
A statement from MEPJA noted: “These experiences strengthen the sense of community and position young people and adults as active agents in promoting inclusive values. With these actions, the program reaffirms its commitment to an education that considers diversity and contributes to building a more empathetic society without barriers.”
