Jujuy has set a new record in organ donation procedures this year, with 81 procedures performed by December 30. This surpasses the previous year’s total of 80.
According to the Ministry of Health of Jujuy, two recent organ procurement operations took place at Hospital Pablo Soria and Hospital San Roque in the provincial capital. The ministry stated that both public and private sectors contributed to reaching this new milestone.
The Ministry noted: “Each organ and tissue procurement operation opens up numerous possibilities for recovery for people of all ages who are experiencing critical health situations and are on transplant waiting lists both in Jujuy and nationwide, since coordination is carried out with protocols and standards that allow for a healthcare response with federal reach.”
Efforts to increase awareness in the community continue through ongoing promotion and training activities across the province. The ministry emphasized that community engagement is crucial for maintaining progress in organ donation rates.
