The province of Jujuy participated in the 60th edition of the National Festival of Doma and Folklore in Jesús María, Córdoba. This festival is recognized as one of Argentina’s main cultural events.
Jujuy’s participation was highlighted on Monday, January 12, with a focus on carnival traditions that brought color and energy to the José Hernández amphitheater. Performers from Jujuy such as Los Tekis, Diableros Jujeños, and Kepianco shared the stage with nationally known artists including Ke Personajes, La T y La M, and Ceibo. The event also featured Tropillas Entabladas, a traditional part of the festival.
Beyond music, Jujuy showcased its regional cuisine at the festival. Local dishes like llama stew attracted significant attention from attendees and were part of an effort to share both cultural and tourist experiences from the province.
Federico Posadas, Minister of Culture and Tourism for Jujuy, accompanied the delegation in Córdoba. He emphasized the value of participating in a national event: “show to the country the diversity, energy and identity that characterize Jujuy,” he said. Posadas also noted positive feedback from those attending.
Posadas linked this appearance at Jesús María to recent tourism launches and a busy cultural agenda across Jujuy as summer begins. “We have just had a colorful weekend in Jujuy with cultural activities and arrivals of first tourists in all four regions. This participation in Córdoba strengthens that path and anticipates a season that is already being felt,” he stated.
By taking part in the Festival de Jesús María, officials say Jujuy continues its strategy to promote culture and tourism nationally while positioning itself as a leading destination for summer activities ahead of Carnival 2026.
