The city of Jujuy will host the eighth edition of the Argentine and NOA Literature Conference on November 19 at the Centro de Arte Joven Andino (CAJA). The event will bring together researchers, teachers, students, and readers with an interest in regional literature. The focus is to discuss how memory, territory, and generational experiences are reflected in literary works from the northwest region of Argentina.
This year’s conference is organized under the theme “Topographies of memories / territories of violence – generations / gender and genealogies.” Organizers aim to create a space for dialogue that introduces new perspectives on cultural practices and contemporary writing.
The event is supported by the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the National University of Jujuy (FHyCS-UNJu), through Resolution FHyCS D-713/25. It has become a regular fixture in the local literary calendar.
Activities will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Alvear 534, CAJA, which operates under the Province’s Secretariat of Culture. The program includes panel discussions featuring specialists, collective exhibitions, and a presentation of a book produced by students from the seminar “Jujeña Literature in the School Canon.” This publication compiles academic work developed within university settings.
According to organizers, “this edition proposes a space for dialogue that seeks to circulate new perspectives on issues that cross cultural practices and contemporary writings.”
