The province of Jujuy will launch its gastronomic week “Jujuy a Punto” starting May 15, featuring dinners, wine fairs, and free activities across the region. The event will run until May 24 and bring together chefs, sommeliers, producers, and sector representatives in an effort to showcase Jujuy’s culinary identity through local products and wines.
The program centers on eight gastronomic events—dinners, lunches, and a snack—held at various restaurants throughout the province. Each experience pairs guest chefs with local culinary figures to create unique menus accompanied by Jujuy wine pairings. Participating venues include Flor del Pago, Lanza, El Nuevo Progreso, Carlini, Ammá, La Viandita Dulce, Viracocha, and Dávila.
Guest chefs such as Fernando Rivarola, JoaquÃn Facio, Angelo Aguado, Gastón Trama, Eugenia Krause, Constanza Cerezo and Franco Ghione will collaborate alongside local chefs and sommeliers during these events.
In addition to dining experiences for ticket holders available via Passline platform sales channels—the event also offers several free public activities. On May 21 at the Salón Éxodo of Cabildo de Jujuy there will be a Gastronomy Forum with talks on identity development in cuisine as well as sustainability topics relevant to regional cooking. That same afternoon sees the second edition of the Feria de las Rutas del Vino de Jujuy where visitors can taste wines from Valles Templados and Quebrada de Humahuaca.
Free training sessions led by professionals like Eugenia Krause are scheduled at Centro Cultural El Tizón. The week also coincides with two qualifying rounds for the Federal Chefs Tournament organized by FEHGRA: one in Tilcara on May 18 for Quebrada/Puna teams; another in San Salvador de Jujuy on May 20 for Valles/Yungas teams. On May 19 Café Dos Chinos hosts “Jujuy: Culture & Flavors,” a hotel-gastronomy workshop including live cooking demonstrations and sector-focused lectures.
According to organizers all forums—as well as wine fair tastings—are open access without charge while collaborative meal tickets are available online.
