The traditional event “La Flor Más Bella,” organized by ornamental plant producers from Jujuy, will open on April 10 in the parking area on Avenida 19 de Abril between Otero and Canónigo Gorriti streets. The organizers announced that the event will include an exhibition, plant sales, and a schedule of free training workshops for the community.
The event is coordinated by the Association of Ornamental Plant Producers of Jujuy (APPOJUY) with support from the Municipality. It will run until Sunday, April 12 as part of activities marking San Salvador de Jujuy’s City Week and its upcoming 433rd anniversary.
More than 40 local producers are expected to participate, along with guests from Salta and Tucumán. They will offer a wide range of plants, flowers, and specialized advice to visitors. Admission is free for all three days. In addition to exhibitions and sales, this edition features free training workshops on Saturday aimed at both gardening enthusiasts and those seeking deeper knowledge about plants or well-being.
Saturday’s workshop topics include natural extracts for pest control; medicinal plants; care tips for tropical foliage plants; domestic vermiculture; autumn-winter fruit tree care; floral art (with prior registration); and family mindfulness sessions focused on emotional regulation through connecting with plants (also requiring registration).
The program also includes artistic performances. On Saturday at 12:30 p.m., Jazz Band will perform, followed by “Tacita de Plata” band from the Provincial Police at 6:30 p.m. On Sunday at 4 p.m., Reyes Caporales will appear, followed by singers Jesús Rojas, Darío Franco, among other surprise guests starting at 5:30 p.m.
