The Ministry of Health of Jujuy has announced the start of the electoral process to select members for the Ad Honorem Advisory Council on Mental Health for the 2025-2027 term. The elections for coordinator and council members will take place on November 27 at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The Advisory Council, established in 2021, is a participatory body that includes professional associations, user organizations, family groups, and academic spaces. Its purpose is to discuss public policies focused on inclusion for people facing mental health issues and addictions. The council was created as part of mental health legislation to provide civil society with a platform to contribute proposals reflecting the needs and perspectives of different sectors.
On November 3 at 2 p.m., an assembly will be held in the Auditorium Hall of the Ministry of Health in San Salvador de Jujuy to elect three members who will form the Electoral Board and to review the election guidelines.
Registration for both voter rolls and candidacies is open until November 17. Interested parties can register at the Ministry’s Progressive Care Area during weekday mornings. After registration closes at noon on November 17, candidate lists for coordinator and council positions must be submitted.
From November 19 to November 24, a provisional voter roll will be displayed, allowing time for challenges or corrections. On November 25, COPISMA (the Provincial Interministerial Commission on Mental Health and Addictions) will address any challenges before approving the final voter list and candidacies.
Voting will occur on November 27 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the ministry’s auditorium. Once voting concludes, ballot boxes will be opened and counting will begin immediately. Results are expected by noon, followed by assumption of roles and signing of official records.
