Jujuy Energía y Minería Sociedad del Estado (JEMSE) has formalized the integration of Mercure SRL as a new Direct User of the Zona Franca Perico (ZFP). This development is part of JEMSE’s ongoing efforts to enhance the operational outlook of ZFP within the Bioceanic Corridor.
The agreement was led by Juan Carlos Abud Robles, Minister of Economic Development for Jujuy, along with Exequiel Lello Ivacevich, president of JEMSE, and Sonia Leis, vice president of ZFP. Claudio Griotti, manager of Mercure SRL, participated in the official proceedings to confirm this strategic partnership.
According to JEMSE, the addition of Mercure SRL will have a direct impact on ZFP’s operations. The company is set to provide high-value logistics services and strengthen import and export workflows from the province.
Exequiel Lello Ivacevich stated: “The integration of Mercure SRL assures efficiency and speed in the supply chain. This minimizes operational friction and reduces lead time for our users, maximizing regional competitiveness.”
This move aligns with JEMSE’s strategy to integrate Jujuy fully into the Capricorn Bioceanic Corridor. By incorporating specialized operators like Mercure SRL, ZFP aims to establish itself as a key logistics hub for goods transfer between the Pacific and Atlantic regions.
“We welcome this capital investment that validates the ecosystem of incentives and tools designed by the provincial administration to maximize return on investment,” representatives from JEMSE said. The goal is to drive sustained development reflected in employment metrics, competitiveness, and growth in Gross Geographic Product.
Mercure SRL will act as a facilitator within this system by offering direct services to local businesses seeking to start or expand their foreign trade activities. The company is expected to help reduce barriers for new participants and accelerate commercial expansion within ZFP.
JEMSE reiterated its commitment to managing assets that position Jujuy as an attractive destination for global investors.
