The Ministry of Education has assigned a specific “moment” for each of the 15 secondary schools in Jujuy that received more applications than available spots for first-year admission in the 2026 school year. The process took place on October 28 at the INPROJUY headquarters.
Julio Alarcón, Secretary of Socio-Educational Policies, attended the event and commented on the ministry’s efforts to support students moving from primary to secondary education. He highlighted initiatives such as Open House Days and stated: “Every year there are fewer oversubscribed institutions.”
During the initial pre-registration phase for 2025, 30 educational institutions experienced higher demand than supply. Of these, 15 will hold an evaluative stage on October 31. For the other 15 schools, a precise time (including day, hour, minute, and second) was assigned to each applicant based on their pre-registration timestamp. This timing will determine which students are eligible for admission.
The list of assigned moments for each institution was published following the event. The final allocation of places is scheduled to be announced on November 6.
