Ministry begins offering provisional teaching positions for initial and primary levels

The Ministry of Education began the process of offering provisional and substitute teaching positions for the Initial and Primary levels on Wednesday, February 18. The event involved teachers from across the province as part of the General Instance organized by the Provincial Board of Teacher Qualification.

The Initial Level session took place at the Ministerial Complex, where kindergarten teacher positions were assigned. Carolina Requelme, Secretary of Educational Management, welcomed teachers and highlighted the significance of these procedures to ensure transparent processes. She said, “I thank the joint work of the Qualification Board, the Directorate of Initial Level, supervisors, and teams from the Ministry of Education.”

Carolina Lui Saravia, Director of Initial Level, provided guidance to teachers on selecting positions based on regional characteristics and school year organization. She noted progress in starting the academic year with more predictability. Carolina Sued, President of the Qualification Board, also attended.

Primary Level offerings were held at Hogar Escuela No. 1 “Mons. José de la Iglesia,” where grade teacher positions were distributed.

Initial Level assignments will continue Thursday, February 19 at IES No. 11 with posts for Physical Education and Music teachers.

Primary Level offerings will run until February 24 and include positions for grade teachers as well as roles in special education, sign language interpretation, plastic arts, English, body expression, theater, dance, crafts, bakery, cooking, carpentry and agricultural techniques according to a schedule set by the Board.
