The Ministry of Education organized the second phase of workshops titled “The Importance of School Cooperatives” in Humahuaca and La Quiaca. The sessions were led by the technical team from the School Cooperatives Program, which is part of the Directorate of Student Welfare. They took place at Escuela Normal Primaria “Héroes Humahuaqueños” in Humahuaca and Escuela Nº 86 “Hipólito Irigoyen” in La Quiaca.
More than 60 participants attended, including members of school cooperative boards, financial auditors, and leaders from educational institutions. The events also brought together representatives from Civil Associations, Simple School Cooperative Associations, Justices of the Peace, teachers, and other stakeholders from various educational levels and types.
The training covered technical, legal, administrative, accounting, and tax topics related to the daily operations of these organizations that play a key role in school life.
Carla Galian, director of Student Welfare, was present along with area representatives Marcelo Llanez, Cristian Ontiveros, Alejandra Colmenares, and Fabiola Ávila.
“The Ministry of Education reaffirms its commitment to support, strengthen and value the essential work carried out by cooperatives in each school in the province,” said officials.
