The Ministry of Education announced on Apr. 6 that the period for creating records for those seeking to enter teaching positions in mandatory education levels remains open.
This process is important because it allows new and current applicants to be included in the order of merit lists for the year 2026, ensuring proper evaluation and placement within the education system.
According to the announcement, interested candidates should consult official links provided by each Sala (division) to access forms, requirements, current regulations, and procedures. The required documentation must be submitted at the Junta Provincial de Calificación Docente headquarters located at Av. España N.º1630 or at Regional Delegations between 8:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The Junta de Calificación emphasized “the importance of meeting established deadlines and submitting complete documentation to ensure proper assessment in the order of merit lists for 2026.” For Sala Inicial (Initial Level), teachers specializing as kindergarten teachers, physical education, or music can submit documents from March 2 until June 30, with more information available online. For Sala Primaria (Primary Level), applications are accepted from April 1 to April 24 for grade teachers and those in special subjects such as arts or languages. Sala Secundaria (Secondary Level) will receive documents from April 1 through April 30; new applicants must apply in person before completing online registration while existing record holders who have earned new qualifications should also update their files online.
These measures aim to streamline teacher recruitment processes ahead of the upcoming academic year.
