Children and their families took part in an educational event organized by the Ministry of Education at the Santa Cecilia Child Development Center (CDI) in the Chijra neighborhood. The initiative, called āCocineritos en Familia,ā was designed to strengthen family bonds and encourage community participation.
The event was arranged by the Directorate of Community Education, which is part of the Secretariat of Socio-Educational Policies. Activities included a participatory bread-making workshop where families and children prepared traditional sweet bread associated with Christmas.
The program āDe la Cuna para la Vidaā was also introduced during the day. This program aims to develop phonological awareness as a foundation for language skills and early literacy. The session used pictograms and visual materials to help improve understanding, communication, and educational inclusion.
Additional activities involved initial literacy exercises and making Christmas cards, combining educational content with cultural expressions typical for this time of year.
According to organizers, āthe meeting allowed joint work spaces between families and the CDIās educational team to be consolidated, strengthening support for early childhood learning processes.ā
