The Ministry of Education organized the “Estar y Participar en la Escuela” event at Normal “Gral. José de San Martín” in San Pedro de Jujuy. The event was coordinated by the Directorate of Student Well-being and the Secretariat of Socio-educational Policies.
The main goal of the initiative was to encourage student participation and representation, particularly by supporting young people in forming Student Centers. The program also aimed to promote democratic values, school coexistence, and teamwork among students.
Activities began with a session led by the Department of Sports and Physical Education. This was followed by an informational talk designed to guide students on how Student Centers are organized and function.
A workshop titled “ReDesConectados” was also held, focusing on peer relationships and encouraging empathy, solidarity, and respect. The workshop sought to help students identify issues that may hinder their educational progress.
According to organizers, this event is part of broader efforts by the Ministry of Education to support secondary schools in creating participatory spaces where students can express themselves, debate ideas, and develop collective proposals for improving school life.
Carla Galian, Director of Student Well-being, attended alongside members of the Technical Team from the Secretariat of Socio-educational Policies. They praised both students and teachers for their involvement in the initiative. “We highlight the commitment of young people and teachers in this initiative, emphasizing the importance of continuing to promote spaces for dialogue, representation, and student leadership throughout the province,” said Galian.
