The Ministry of Education held a work meeting focused on students with disabilities, high abilities, and talents. The event took place at Primary School No. 417 “Presbítero Juan Roberto Moreno” on November 19 from 11:00 to 15:00.
The meeting was organized by the Special Education Modality and the General Coordination of Educational Modalities. It served as a space for reflection and strengthening current inclusive policies, as well as addressing ongoing challenges in classrooms and school management.
Regional officials, coordinators, territorial teachers, and institutional teams participated in the event. They worked together to identify key needs and strategies for supporting the educational paths of students with disabilities, high abilities, and talents across the province.
Discussions during the day centered on three main topics: identifying barriers that remain in the education system, analyzing students’ real experiences throughout their education, and developing inclusive actions that are sustainable and tailored to each context.
Representatives from Special Education emphasized: “Educational inclusion is not only a legal imperative but also an ethical and pedagogical commitment, and every student, regardless of their characteristics or needs, has the right to reach their full potential in an educational environment that respects them, challenges them, and supports them.”
