The Ministry of Education organized activities on Tuesday in the towns of La Quiaca, Yavi, Santa Catalina, and Casira. Around 200 primary school students and 160 secondary school students took part in the events.
The initiatives included the “Parlamento Juvenil en las Alturas ‘La Escuela Somos Todos'” and a socioemotional workshop aimed at supporting students transitioning from seventh grade to their first year of secondary school.
According to the Ministry, these programs were developed in response to requests from school administrators and students. The presence of education officials in these communities allowed for direct engagement with young people, creating opportunities for critical reflection on local issues and strengthening participation skills.
For students moving from primary to secondary education, the workshop provided tools for managing emotions and organizational skills during this transition.
Both programs are intended to support educational progress and encourage students to remain in school, aiming to guarantee the right to education and continued learning.
The Ministry’s Secretariat of Socioeducational Policies emphasized the value of working closely with educational communities. “It is important that students recognize themselves as subjects of rights, capable of starting, resuming, and completing their studies as part of their life project and personal fulfillment,” stated the Secretariat.
