The Ministry of Education, through its Choirs and Orchestras Program under the Secretariat of Socio-Educational Policies, organized the “Alto Canto” event. The initiative aimed to encourage collective singing among students and choir groups, creating a space for shared artistic expression.
The event was held at the Éxodo Jujeño Cultural Center. Its purpose was to provide an opportunity for participation and to promote creative songwriting on youth-related themes. The activities sought to help participants recognize emotions, build relationships through art, and deliver positive messages.
Participants included the Children’s Choir from the Choirs and Orchestras Program, featuring over 80 children and young people. Other groups involved were the University Choir of the National University of Jujuy (UNJu), the Choir of the Faculty of Economic Sciences, students from Provincial High School No. 2, and students from Secondary School No. 42.
According to organizers, “the proposal is part of the Ministry’s priority policy to support student progress in the educational system through artistic actions that foster student engagement.”
