The Ministry of Education and the Agro-Livestock Civil Association Pachamama have signed an agreement to repurpose the facilities of School No. 340 in CiƩnaga Grande. The initiative aims to enhance the school building for social, cultural, and educational activities related to strengthening regional economies and supporting local agricultural and livestock production.
David Elvio Cruz, president of the association, commented on the significance of this step for local residents. He explained that the organization is engaged in local production, mainly livestock and Andean crops such as potatoes, but previously lacked a suitable space for meetings, workshops, and productive activities. āWe assume the commitment to safeguard, maintain, and care for the facilities. For us it is a very important step and an opportunity to continue working for our community,ā Cruz said.
Miriam Serrano, Minister of Education, recognized the efforts of the CiĆ©naga Grande community and highlighted the associationās role in promoting local development. She noted that the agreement ensures continued use of a school building by making it available for community projects that strengthen both regional identity and productive activities.
