The Ministry of Education of Jujuy held an informational meeting on December 16 at School No. 444 “Jujuy, Abanderada de la Patria” to present the comprehensive renovation and expansion project for both this school and the Integrated Kindergarten No. 3 (JIN N°3).
The session was led by Sebastián Farfán, coordinator of the BCIE–SIE program, together with Luis Alarcón, head of Project Management at the Secretariat of Educational Infrastructure. School principals Roberto Balcarce (School No. 444) and Cristina Morales (JIN N°3), as well as Paula Cruz from the construction company Cultivar, also participated.
During the meeting, members of the school community learned that work is scheduled to begin in January. The organizers explained how construction will be carried out to ensure safety and allow classes to continue normally during the 2026 academic year.
One key aspect highlighted was the replacement of more than 4,000 square meters of roofing. This improvement has been long awaited by teachers, students, and families and aims to provide safer and more suitable spaces for teaching and learning.
Attendees were also informed about which areas will be renovated, details about the construction process, and estimated timelines. Organizers addressed questions from school leaders and other community members present.
“These actions are part of the ongoing commitment by the Ministry of Education of the Province, through the PROMACE Program, to improve school infrastructure and guarantee safe, accessible spaces that better adapt to current educational processes, supporting the right to quality education for children and youth throughout the province,” said officials from the ministry.
