On November 5, the Ministry of Education will hold its third and final Institutional Day of the year. The event is intended for supervisors, principals, teaching and non-teaching staff from Initial, Primary, and Secondary levels, as well as various educational modalities across the province.
This session will focus on analyzing data and information about students’ academic situations. The goal is to design strategies and support measures that strengthen educational progress at the end of the school year and into the next.
The initiative encourages schools to pause operations to reflect on progress, challenges, and lessons learned during the year. It also aims to recognize the ongoing commitment of teaching teams and school leaders in their daily work.
During the first Institutional Day earlier this year, priority policies for 2025 were presented. These include Literacy; Protection and Care for Children and Adolescents; Strengthening Educational Progress (with a focus on Secondary education); Education and Work; and a cross-cutting policy on Evaluation and Educational Quality.
The second session addressed how to handle complex situations within educational institutions. This included discussions on protocols designed to respond to demands from both the school community and society at large.
“The proposal invites an institutional pause to reflect on advances, challenges, and lessons learned in each school, valuing the commitment of teaching teams and principals in their daily work,” stated officials from the Ministry of Education.
With this third meeting, “the Ministry reaffirms its commitment to collaborative work, sustained pedagogical planning, and comprehensive support for student progress at all levels of the provincial education system,” according to a statement from ministry representatives.
