National Road Authority announced on April 1 that National Route 52 remains impassable at kilometer 46, in the Cuesta de Lipán area, because of sediment and water accumulation on the roadway.

The authority has put in place a total preventive closure starting from 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, and extending until 7 a.m. on Thursday, April 2. The restriction covers the section between Purmamarca (km 5) and the junction with Provincial Route 79 (km 62), where adverse weather conditions have made driving difficult.

Officials recommend that drivers avoid traveling through this area and stay informed about road conditions, especially as weather alerts remain in effect for much of the province.

The preventive closure is aimed at ensuring safety while crews work to address the impact of recent severe weather.
