National weather service issues yellow alert for storms in Jujuy

The National Meteorological Service announced on Apr. 4 a yellow alert for storms affecting several areas of Jujuy during the afternoon of Monday.

The alert applies to the regions of El Carmen, Ledesma, Palpalá, San Antonio, San Pedro, Santa Bárbara, Valle Grande, as well as the lower zones of Doctor Manuel Belgrano and Tilcara.

According to the national agency, these localities may experience storms with varying intensity. The forecast includes periods of heavy rainfall over short durations, occasional hail, frequent electrical activity and wind gusts that could exceed 60 kilometers per hour. Accumulated precipitation is expected to range between 30 and 50 millimeters.

The yellow alert serves as a precautionary measure for residents in the affected areas. The National Meteorological Service advises people to remain informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions.
