Presidential spokesperson Manuel Adorni mortgaged an apartment in the Caballito neighborhood and received a total of $100,000 from two creditors, according to property records from Buenos Aires released on April 6.
The apartment is located on Asamblea Street at the 1100 block, where Adorni previously lived. Records show that one woman lent $85,000 and another provided $15,000 as part of a second mortgage signed in November 2024. The property already had an existing mortgage from 2014 related to its original purchase.
In his sworn statement to the Anti-Corruption Office, Adorni listed both creditors but did not disclose details about the origin of the debt. The apartment remains for sale and is still registered under Adorni and his wife’s names.
These developments are part of a judicial investigation into alleged illicit enrichment led by prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita. Pollicita has requested documentation regarding these real estate operations and summoned the notary involved for testimony.
Investigators are also reviewing other recent transactions, including another apartment purchase in Caballito that was largely financed through a loan provided by the sellers. The case remains under investigation.
