The Municipality of Palpalá announced on April 9 the start of a new free workshop aimed at stimulating children’s development through playful activities. The initiative, called “Discovering My Body and My Environment,” is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 12.
According to the announcement, the workshop uses games to help participants develop social, motor, cognitive, and emotional skills in an accessible way. Organizers say that psychomotricity supports comprehensive development by combining movement, mind, and emotions. The program aims to improve postural control, balance, coordination, attention span, memory, creativity, self-esteem, and social abilities.
This effort is part of ongoing municipal actions to provide opportunities for child development at no cost to local families. Classes are held every Monday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the CIC Canal de Beagle community center.
The municipality said that enrollment remains open with limited spots available. Interested parents or guardians are encouraged to register their children in person at CIC Canal de Beagle from Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
By offering these workshops without charge and focusing on holistic growth through play-based learning methods, Palpalá seeks to foster healthy childhood development within its community.
