The Secretaría de Integración Regional y Relaciones Internacionales announced on April 1 that the Paso de Jama will be closed as a preventive measure for all types of vehicles on Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3. The closure is due to a decision by international authorities.

These temporary closures are important for travelers who plan to use this crossing between Argentina and Chile during the long weekend. Officials advise people to make travel plans accordingly.

According to the announcement, the Jama Complex (Ruta 27-CH) will have specific closure times. Entry into Chile will close at 15:00, with the complex shutting down completely at 16:00. For those leaving Argentina, the barrier at kilometer 43 will close at 16:00.

Travelers are advised to check official channels for updates about road conditions and weather before making their journey. Planning ahead can help avoid delays or complications caused by these scheduled closures.

For any questions or further information, individuals can contact Gendarmería Nacional personnel stationed at Paso de Jama by calling the number provided in the announcement.
