A 21-year-old man was arrested on April 3 following a police chase in the San Francisco neighborhood of San Pedro. Officers from the Infantry Corps (UR2) led the operation, which ended with the seizure of drugs and cash.
The incident began when the suspect saw a police vehicle and tried to escape quickly on a Keller motorcycle. When he was cornered, he abandoned his motorcycle and continued running toward Route 34, throwing away several packages as he went in an attempt to get rid of evidence.
After officers intercepted him, personnel from the Narcotics Directorate searched the area where he was caught. They found packages containing cocaine hydrochloride and base paste, along with a significant amount of cash that the man had with him.
During the procedure, there were tense moments as family members of the detained individual tried to prevent his transfer by insulting and physically confronting police officers. Despite this resistance, authorities completed their operation successfully.
Both the illegal substances and motorcycle were seized by police. The suspect is now facing charges that complicate his legal situation.
