Police responded to three separate domestic violence and crisis situations in Jujuy on March 27, according to official reports. In one case, a man barricaded himself inside his home in the Las Tipas neighborhood of Palpalá after allegedly assaulting his partner and threatening to detonate a gas cylinder.

Authorities said officers from the Infantry Corps of Regional Unit 8 entered the residence due to concerns for safety. The man, aged 32, was also armed with a bladed weapon. Police managed to subdue him and transported him to Police Station No. 47. A woman and her young daughter were found at the scene but did not suffer serious injuries.

In another incident occurring at the same time in Cuyaya neighborhood of San Salvador de Jujuy, officers from Regional Unit 1 and Police Station No. 4 carried out a judicial order related to a gender-based violence case. The suspect, age 38, attempted to flee through the back of his house but was intercepted by police infantry personnel and taken into custody.

A third intervention took place in Los Perales neighborhood when Special K-9 Unit responded after receiving an emergency call from a minor. According to police accounts, a man aged 30 entered through the roof and assaulted his former partner before injuring himself with a sharp object during police intervention. He was subdued by officers and transferred to Police Station No. 55 while the victim received assistance for filing an official complaint.

The authorities remind residents that Linea 144 is available for support regarding gender-based violence.
