President Javier Milei will travel to Israel to take part in the official events marking the country’s Independence Day, which this year commemorates the 78th anniversary of the founding of the State of Israel, according to an April 9 announcement.

The visit is scheduled between April 19 and April 22. During this period, Milei will follow an official agenda in Israel and attend the traditional torch-lighting ceremony, one of the most significant events of the celebration. The main event will be held on April 21 and will recall the establishment of Israel in 1948.

This trip marks Milei’s third official visit to Israel since taking office as president. It continues a close diplomatic and political relationship that he has maintained with that country since his administration began.

The ceremony will also include United States President Donald Trump as an invited guest.

Milei’s participation highlights ongoing international engagement between Argentina and Israel during a milestone year for both nations.
