The Provincial Council of Women, Gender Equality, and Respect for Diversity held a training and exchange session for its teams on April 1. The main goal was to strengthen intervention strategies in cases of gender-based violence within the workplace.
This topic is important as it addresses ongoing efforts to improve responses to workplace gender violence and supports continuous professional development among those assisting affected individuals.
During the event, participants worked collaboratively by sharing cases and experiences, as well as discussing specific tools aimed at improving approaches to these situations. The session also focused on the importance of early intervention through understanding different types and forms of gender-based violence, which can serve as warning signs for seeking help.
Attendees reflected on challenges faced when supporting individuals experiencing workplace gender violence. The meeting encouraged ongoing updates for professionals from various interdisciplinary teams and promoted incorporating new perspectives that could enhance service quality.
The Council said these activities reaffirm its commitment to continuous training and strengthening public policies designed to create workplaces free from gender-based violence and discrimination. Efforts are centered around prevention, assistance, and support in every case handled by their teams.
In Jujuy Province, there are currently 19 Centers for Attention to Women in Situations of Violence. These centers are staffed by professionals in social work, psychology, and law who assess each situation individually while providing support throughout the process for women and members of sexually diverse communities facing vulnerability.
