Provincial cultural week in Jujuy features festivals, concerts and museum nights

The province of Jujuy will host a series of cultural events from November 27 to December 3, featuring religious celebrations, artistic performances, and community gatherings across various locations.

On Thursday, November 27, Santa Clara will hold its Patronal Festival in Honor of Our Lady of Consolation at Puente Lavayen. Activities include prayers, recreational games, a mass, and a procession. The Chapel of Our Lady of Consolation will be open from 8:00 a.m. until midnight for visitors.

In San Salvador de Jujuy, several artistic events are scheduled. The Manuel Belgrano Cultural Center will stage the popular theater play “Carroceros” at 9:00 p.m. A choral conducting workshop led by Maestro Zadoff Nestor Jorge is set for 2:30 p.m. at the Amphitheater of the Faculty of Economic Sciences on Alvear 843 with free admission. At Culturarte, Félix Domingo Artaza’s book “Canto de amor y poemas” will be presented at 6:30 p.m., while Dancing Four hosts the Macedonio Jazz Cycle at 8:30 p.m., featuring Groove Sessions and Polvo de Estrellas Jazz with free entry. Teatro Mitre will present “Soltero 2.0” under Juampi González’s direction at 9:00 p.m.

Friday’s agenda includes a text production workshop by writer Alejandro Carrizo in Libertador General San Martín’s Salón Murillo from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

San Salvador de Jujuy prepares for Noche de los Museos (Night of Museums), during which cultural spaces across the city open their doors for collaborative celebration. The choral conducting workshop continues at the Faculty of Economic Sciences amphitheater at 2:30 p.m.

Casa Baca (Centro Cultural Mirentxu) on Dr Illia 64 features music by the Choir of the Professional Council of Economic Sciences as part of Night of Museums at 7:30 p.m.

Culturarte (Sarmiento corner San Martín) offers multiple activities during Night of Museums starting with another presentation by Félix Domingo Artaza at 6:00 p.m., guided tours through architect Boscariol’s temporary exhibition between 8:00 p.m. and midnight, live painting by Agustín Burgos for raffle at 8:00 p.m., dance performances by Norma Fontenla Dance School (9:00 p.m.), and music by Coro IMPROMPTU (10:00 p.m.). Other highlights include folk music and dance showcases with Gustavo Llanes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., “Luces de Milonga” from 9:00 p.m. to midnight, and an interactive photography experience from 10:00 to11:00p .m.

The C.A.J.A Cultural Center on Alvear534 hosts guided tours conducted by students from IES Intercultural “Campita Guazu Gloria Pérez” between8 :00a .m.and10 :00p .m .,with additional live art ,dance jams ,and music throughout the evening .

Macedonio Cultural Center presents Dana Chagra’s painting exhibition “Women Who Wove Me” including an artist talk (7 :30p .m.),theatrical homage(8 :30p .m.),and live art performance(9 :30p .m.).

Casa de Letras(Belgrano1327)features guided visits through Jorge Jamarlli’s temporary exhibit(8 :00p .m.to midnight),a Ballet Noroeste show(9 :30p .m.)and live music(10 :00p .m.). Casa Silvetti(Belgrano493)is also participating in NightofMuseums .
