The Escuela Primaria Latinoamérica N° 38 in El Milagro, Puesto Viejo, will host a special puppet show titled “La Niña del Cerro” on Wednesday, November 19 at 9 a.m. The event is open to the public and free of charge.
This initiative is part of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s efforts to bring theater to educational communities. According to the ministry, these actions aim to encourage children’s participation in artistic experiences within their own environment. By bringing art directly into schools, the ministry seeks to make culture more accessible and foster early connections with performing arts.
“The Girl from the Hill combines humor, fantasy, and local legends, seeking to spark interest in the performing arts from an approachable and playful perspective. Puppetry is an ideal resource for capturing children’s attention and conveying stories that connect with the popular imagination of the region,” stated organizers.
The event will involve teachers, families, and students in a morning that integrates art into school life. Organizers say such initiatives strengthen comprehensive education and create opportunities for collective enjoyment by turning schools into cultural gathering points for the entire Puesto Viejo community.
