The 48th edition of the Festival del Quesillo y Folklore in San Antonio was announced at a press conference held at the Culturarte cultural center. The event is scheduled for Saturday, December 13, starting with dance performances at 7:30 p.m. and followed by a musical lineup beginning at 9 p.m. Activities will take place at the municipality’s Cultural and Sports Complex.
Organizers describe the festival as one of the most significant events on Jujuy’s cultural calendar and note its traditional role as the closing celebration for the province’s folk music season. The program features local dance academies that have spent months preparing their performances, highlighting their commitment to regional traditions.
The musical segment includes a range of genres and artists. Headlining this year are Los Tekis, joined by Santiago Cueto, Coroico, Ángelo Aranda, Los de San Antonio, Cele Rodríguez, Echeve, Rafa Verón, and other established and emerging folk musicians from Jujuy and across Argentina.
Central to the festival is quesillo—a cheese product emblematic of San Antonio—which will be featured alongside typical regional dishes prepared by local entrepreneurs and producers. Organizers say this initiative supports regional economies and helps sustain families who rely on artisanal production.
Tickets are available through Paseshow online at www.paseshow.com.ar or in person at E y M – Belgrano 969, Loc. 17 in Jujuy.
