This Thursday, artisans in San Pedro will have the opportunity to register officially in the provincial registry during a verification event. The registration process is part of efforts to help artisans access benefits under the Jujuy Crafts Law.
The event will take place on Thursday, November 28, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Artisans interested in enrolling in the REUNAR (Single Registry of Artisans) must bring their national ID, personal information, several finished pieces, unfinished pieces to demonstrate their process, work tools, and photos or videos of their production site. Registration is described as the first step for artisans to qualify for loans, training programs, and sales spaces provided by the province.
The call is limited strictly to crafts—manual works completed throughout all stages using natural raw materials. It excludes handicrafts such as food items, wines, perfumes, incense sticks, industrialized or recycled products.
“This is an opportunity to formalize genuine artisanal work and gain access to tools that strengthen activity in the department,” according to organizers.
Artisans who complete this registration may become eligible for government-backed support programs designed specifically for traditional craft workers in Jujuy Province.
