The Dirección de Deportes de San Pedro de Jujuy announced on April 1 the official opening ceremony for the city’s 2026 sports calendar. The event aims to showcase the range of sporting disciplines available in San Pedro.

The launch will feature a parade with participation from public and private sports schools, local clubs, and various invited institutions. These groups will present their activities to the community as part of the celebration.

According to organizers, the gathering is scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 at Boulevard de Agua on Avenida 25 de Mayo, beginning at 6:30 p.m. The institutional parade is set to start at 7:00 p.m., according to the official schedule.

The event seeks to encourage greater participation in sports and recreational activities among residents of San Pedro. Each participating organization will have an opportunity to display its programs and projects for the current cycle.

By bringing together different entities involved in local sports, organizers hope this initiative will help promote healthy lifestyles and strengthen community ties through shared athletic experiences.
