The Municipality of San Salvador de Jujuy announced on April 4 an invitation to older adults to participate in the “Encuentro Saludable,” a program aimed at promoting healthy habits and improving quality of life.
The event will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Las Lavanderas amphitheater in Parque Xibi Xibi, near Puente La Madrid. The initiative is part of the Estación Saludable program.
Sergio Armata, coordinator of Estación Saludable, said that the activities will include gymnastics classes, rhythm exercises, folklore dance sessions, and gapul music—a new discipline added to the program. Participants will also have access to electric bicycles, a nutrition stand, blood pressure checks conducted by nursing staff, and cognitive training spaces.
Armata specifically invited residents to join on Tuesday, April 7, which coincides with World Health Day. He said that participation is free and open to all older adults.
Organizers stated that those interested can simply go directly to the location wearing comfortable clothing, appropriate footwear, and bringing a bottle of water for hydration. No prior registration is required.
