Tilcara Mayor Sonia Pérez confirmed on April 10 her attendance at the upcoming formal event for the Matteo Jujuy Project, which will take place next Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Ministry of Education of Jujuy.
The Matteo Project focuses on automatic monitoring of weather conditions in the troposphere within schools and other organizations. Its implementation in secondary schools is expected to lead to new initiatives aimed at strengthening its impact during the current academic year.
Pérez said it is important to build proposals that support institutions from early years, promoting healthier and safer school environments. The project is described as an educational, scientific, and outreach initiative applied across public and private institutions of all levels and types.
The project involves installing automatic measurement stations that monitor meteorological variables in real time. This allows educators to address environmental care and responsible water use within their teaching activities, reinforcing scientific learning from an early age.
Looking ahead, officials plan to continue expanding actions related to the project throughout this school year.
