More than one hundred skateboarders participated in the Sudamericano de Skateboarding at the Parque Urbano de Alto Comedero, according to a March 30 announcement. The event marked the first time that Jujuy has hosted a tournament of this scale.
The competition drew athletes from Bolivia, Chile, and various regions of Argentina, including Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata, Córdoba, Santa Fe, and the NOA region. Favorable weather conditions supported the smooth running of the tournament.
Various government departments provided support during the event. Health coverage was ensured by SAME and institutional backing included an Interés Legislativo declaration delivered by Deputy Adriano Morone. The recently renovated Parque Urbano is part of a broader policy focused on recovering public spaces and offers weekly sports and cultural activities for local residents.
