Opta Analyst, which is part of Stats Perform and specializes in sports data analysis using artificial intelligence, simulated millions of possible scenarios to generate its rankings. According to its model, Spain holds a 15.83% probability of becoming champion. France follows with a 12.77% chance while England stands at 11.8%. Argentina—the current title holder—appears in fourth place among likely winners.
Portugal rounds out the top five contenders with a probability of 6.92%. Traditional football powers Brazil and Germany are listed further down according to these projections, which marks an unusual shift compared to previous tournaments where they have typically been considered favorites.
