This Saturday, the Centro Cultural C.A.J.A in San Salvador will host La Milonga del Gringo, an event dedicated to tango music and dance. The program features musical direction by Gustavo “el Gringo” López and vocals by Gilda Ruiz. The event is scheduled for December 20 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
La Milonga del Gringo aims to create a space where music, rhythm, and emotion come together. According to organizers, López and Ruiz intend to bring the traditions of tango to Jujuy, sharing stories of passion and nostalgia through their performance. The event operates on a voluntary contribution basis, making it accessible regardless of financial means.
The Ministerio de Cultura y Turismo supports this initiative as part of its commitment to preserving and promoting musical genres that are considered part of Argentina’s cultural heritage. The ministry also recognizes the importance of voluntary contributions as a way for the community to participate.
“The Ministerio de Cultura y Turismo supports this initiative as an expression of its commitment to the preservation and dissemination of musical genres that are part of Argentina’s cultural heritage, recognizing the value of voluntary contribution as a form of community participation,” stated event organizers.
Organizers invite all those interested in experiencing tango culture to attend the Saturday night gathering at Centro Cultural C.A.J.A.
