A resident of Jujuy became the sole winner of the top prize in the Telekino lottery draw held on April 5. The winning ticket, which awarded one of the largest sums this year, was sold at agency 161 on Balcarce Street in San Salvador de Jujuy.

Despite the significant amount—$917,083,225—the winner has not yet come forward to claim their reward. The identity of the new millionaire remains unknown to those at the sales location.

Manuel Flores, a vendor at the agency where the ticket was sold, said that so far only people with close matches have visited. He said he is hopeful that the winner will appear soon and called it a historic prize for the province.

According to current lottery rules, there is a strict deadline for claiming prizes. The winner must present themselves with the original ticket by April 21; after this date, they will lose all rights to collect and cannot receive any portion of the money.

The net amount received by the winner will be less than advertised due to tax regulations under Argentina’s Law 20.630. Taxes are applied at an effective rate of about 27.9% on most lottery winnings by ARCA (formerly AFIP), meaning approximately $255.8 million will be withheld before payout and leaving a net sum of $661,217,005.22 for the recipient.

To collect such a large prize, winners must go directly to their jurisdiction’s LoterĆa office—not just any betting agency—with both their National Identity Document (DNI) and an undamaged original ticket for verification purposes.

The winning numbers were: 01, 02, 03, 05, 06, 07, 09, 10, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 25. The local community continues waiting for news as time runs out for this historic fortune.
